Innovative Teaching & Learning
We are very fortunate to have our very own fully-equipped Design and Technology Centre as well as an advanced level of integration of information technology in the classroom from Grade 0-7. A recently introduced STEAM programme encourages an inquiring-based learning approach for Grades 4-7. Through our dynamic school environment, our boys develop into well-balanced, confident individuals who are able to adapt and flourish in the world beyond their junior and senior prep years.
The Ridge School has over 100 years of experience in monastic education, and we are keenly aware of the specific educational and developmental needs of boys in these formative years. Our trained teachers, occupational therapists and counsellors provide consistent support and nurturing for your son. With comfort, understanding and a solid support structure, our boys can achieve their full potential. With small classes, we can provide the necessary attention that each boy needs for his personal development and academic success. Our teachers know each boy by name, his likes, preferences, strengths, talents and areas needing improvement.
The Ridge School would like to thank everyone – parents, successive Parents’ Associations, our staff, the Board, Old Boys, and especially our boys who make this school the successful and happy place it is today. We also give back to our community and impart a sense of social responsibility to our boys. Our close relationship with Salvazione Christian School in Brixton allows our boys the opportunity to share experiences with children from a seriously under-privileged environment.
